#UFC Fight Night: Michelle Waterson submits Paige VanZant in first round choke hold

Paige VanZant, one of the shining star in women's MMA, has been defeated last night. The 115-pound contender was hoping to get back into the strawweight title conversation, but Michelle Waterson got her into a rear-naked choke hold on first round.

Waterson landed a fantastic hiptoss to take the fight to the ground before getting VanZant's back and locking in the rear-naked choke. Despite Vanzant's best efforts to break out of it, she was forced to submit.

A lot of people were rooting for her. Maybe because she's a sports celebrity. She was in Dancing with the Stars at one time. But when a professional fighter becomes more of a celebrity, they often lose. They lose focus. Just ask Ronda Rousey.

Let just hope she bounced back.
