According to a BBC report, the information about Mikhail Kalugin in Trump-Russia dossier has been verified. Mikhail Kalugin, was a Russian diplomat in washington, and he is in fact a spy.
The dossier was compiled by a former MI6 secret intelligence officer, named Christophr Steele. On the dossier he wrote: "A leading Russian diplomat, Mikhail KULAGIN, had been withdrawn from Washington at short notice because Moscow feared his heavy involvement in the US presidential election operation… would be exposed in the media there."
That name KALUGIN was mispelled and should be Kulagin. Probably the reason why there was no information revealed about him until just recently.
