After reading the entire text of Paul Deen's deposition, I'm still trying to understand what there is, (or was) to apologize about.....

@GirlonFire: Some people need to protect theit image specially if they are celebrities. So you want to be on TV and you have dirt from the past... be careful. Past will haunt you.

Paula Deen is a 66 year old woman who grew up in Georgia in the 50's and 60's. I believe, she has said the n-word! Why is this a surprise? Get over it already. She's a product of her environment, as most of us are. The fact is that this happened a long time ago and now some money-grubbing lawyer and a bitter ex-employee are trying to extort money out of her and destroy her public image. The real tragedy here is that it's working.

She's being vilified for something she said under duress years ago. This is wrong. Blacks openly hate and this woman has tried her best to get over a life threatening situation. Shame on all of you retailers and media corporate punks.

I haven't read any reactions from black people. I think the only one reacting about this are whites. I'm Asian so I don't care really...

If Paula Deen had no money, nobody would ever say a word. People want to put their hands on her wealth. Paula did not fall in my eyes.

@Dagger: i think it's because she's a celebrity. Otherwise, people wouldn't care.
