Snowden on the run, seeks asylum in Ecuador #NSA

The computer contractor who exposed details of U.S. surveillance programs was on the run late Sunday, seeking asylum in Ecuador with the aid of the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks, the organization and Ecuador's Foreign Ministry announced.

Ah, nothing like touting free speech and fleeing to a country where the president throws reporters in jail for being critical of him. Maybe he will be fine as long as he doesn't talk about their president the way he does to the US president. Talk about hypocrisy...

I don't really understand this Snowden. If he wants to be a hero.. be hero and face the music instead of hiding!

I don't understand. Does he really think whatever he's leaking gonna change everything? No. NSA has been doing what they're doing for decades. It's not a surprise. They were already snooping on us since the telegram!

Why didn't he just stayed in Hong Kong if they weren't going to arrest him?

There are only two countries left on the planet who are not owned by the same group of people. NK and Iran. He should go there.
