Kelly's 9 a.m. show was canceled last week, but her contract goes through 2020. So now there's a protracted negotiation taking place -- and in an unusual move, Kelly's lawyer Bryan Freedman is talking about it publicly.
NBC is said to be reluctant to pay out the rest of her three-year contract, which is reportedly worth $69 million. And Kelly is said to be reluctant to sign away her rights to speak freely.
I think I picked the wrong career...
Was she a lawyer too?

$69 million exit payout?
Wow... When did Megyn Kelly moved to NBC from FOX? That just last year right? That's a lot of money for a failed show.
Don't get me wrong. I think Megyn Kelly is a pretty good journalist but I think she's better in newscast than in talk shows. Talk show is not for her... at least not in NBC.

@Cryon: I agree with you. I think NBC made a wrong calculation about her. Although she has been leaning a bit on the center... she can't still move away from her white priveledge. That's what lead to her black face comment. Some people just won't get that it's offensive unless they have black friends or at least interacts with one.
