The cause of #Tesla Model S fire in Tennessee

All about cars.
Tesla has been receiving bad press in the past six weeks that resulted to the company stocks tumbling. Just last week, a third fire incident involving the Tesla Model S happened in Tennessee. It was determined that the cause was a metal object when it was run over by the Model S.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the metal object was a tow hitch.
"The tow hitch hit the under carriage of the vehicle causing an electrical fire," the Highway Patrol said in a statement. "The driver was able to pull the vehicle over onto the left side emergency lane and come to final rest."
The first Tesla Model S fire incident that happened last month in Washington State was also caused by a metal object puncturing the battery armor plate according to its CEO Elon Musk. The Model S battery pack is contained within the floor of the vehicle.
The second Tesla Model S fire incident happened in Merida Mexico when an apparent speeding driver crashed the Model S on a Tree.
Just like the first fire incident. So what does this mean? Does it mean they have to redesign the Model S? There are a lot of metal hazards on the road. If it means the Model S will burn eveytime you hit one is not fair for to the owner. This means the owners insurance could go higher.

@Jaye88: you got a point. I bet Elon Musk and his team are already working on a solution. Elon is a genius.

@David: I am actually a longterm TSLA stock holder and I am really worried. I got it early on and I am wondering if I should sell.

I think the media is blowing these stories up way out of proportion!

I think the same thing will happen when a gasoline tank is punctured. Maybe worst... it will explode!
